Steven I pick and choose carefully what Guru's I follow not only on Twitter but the rest of the social networks out there. You have to be very discerning when it comes to who you choose to spend your time with professionally on the internet.

What determines who the guru is? Is it number of followers? I don't buy that. I've seen lots of quality Tweets by people who don't have thousands of followers. I also see a downside in messaging the guru. The guru replies that he doesn't know you or endorse you. What will the reluctant followers do once they see that message? I believe in posting quality information rather trying to "trick" people to get followers.
