CALLING ALL CARING CANDIAN CELEBERATIES

My friend John and I (both transplant patients) are looking for a Canadian Celebrity or Celebrities who would be willing to stand up and help us save live of Human Beings
There are hundreds on this and other sites who want to save all sorts of animals and I fully agree and support many of them.
But while all this is going on ONE CANADIAN dies every three days while waiting for an Organ Transplant.
John and I are lucky we both have received transplant. John a few weeks ago and myself 2 years ago.
I have been writing the Federal House of Commons and the National Media for years. In fact I have sent well over 800 letters, faxes, email and even phone calls all with no reply.
What we would beg for is one or more Celebes. To step forward and join or fight to have the Government adopt Presumed Donor as the Transplant Laws in Canada.
What PRESUMED DONOR IS, is that every Canadian in Canada is an “ORGAN DONOR’ at death.
Unless, they sign a NON DONOR CARD. This system is used in 10-15 other Countries around the world.
Thousands of desperate Canadians fly to India, China, and other countries around the World where they pay thousands of dollars to buy an organ from a donor. Not even knowing if it is a “MATCH”
They return to Canada many times needing repair work and care far beyond the time a regular transplant patient takes to recover.
We feel this is the only way to get Government and Media attention to this tragedy. Governments and Media just don’t listen to nobodies. You have to be rich or famous to be listened to. Owning a few hundred oil wells is a start for attention.
I have not even mentioned the suffer and restrictive life a person waiting for an organ transplant lives.
So if you are a Canadian Celebrate who would like to save lives, and have more heart, and caring than Canadian Politicians and National Media please get in touch with us. We would love to sit down and talk to you. Even via the telephone, Skype, what ever.
