I shared this on facebook and twitter - there are so many people that do not understand the power of twitter so the more I can share with others the better!

Social Media has taken off and will have a substantial impact on businesses. I look forward to the impact it will have on my networking websites.

Really interesting.  However, we must use social media as an appropriate tool it is rightful place, not to the exclusion of emails, or actual personal interaction.

It is true that videos can have an important and immediate effect on getting aid quickly to devastated parts of the world.

What is concerning to me is the addiction to the tech toys when in a social setting.

Seems to me that proper manners when visiting friends or in public settings that the most part of humanity has forgotten where the off switch is on the mobile tech units and rather to disengage with the human personal element.

I am from the old world.  I miss wholeheartedly walking down the street to view into a smiling face of the person passing by.  Sad to say everyone seems to busy talking or texting with their phones.

Social inadequacies?

Many thanks for sharing this information and for offering the opportunity to share thought.

Not everyone has an iPhone (me included) or wants one.  The AT&T network does not work at all in the rural SC area where I live and neither does Verizon.  If  the US plans to become a more "mobile" user friendly country, the big companies who offer wireless services need to figure out how to work together to provide customers affordable products with reliable service--it's not happening like they believe and it's not acceptable.  The statistics in the presentation are helpful, but as I'm not extremely well read on this subject, I'll not voice an opinion about that.

I don't like how they say to a lesser extent the Android phone. And this slide was done with information from two years ago now. There should be a newer slide presentation done with stats from last quarter. Android has made great leaps and bounds in catching up with iPhone. Also more people are leaning towards Android where the developer community is concerned because Google appreciates and facilitates open source where as sheeple keep sending money to Steve Jobs who likes to keep a tight reign on his ship. Again HIS ship. You won't catch me with an Apple product.
