Every 19 seconds, somewhere in the world, someone is diagnosed with breast cancer. That's a pretty startling statistic. No one should have to face this disease, so in order to create a future without breast cancer, I walk or exercise for 19 minutes everyday for the month of October.

It's a 19-minute workout of walking, yoga, running, cardio aerobics, weight lifting, meditation or any other form of workout over the course of 31 days that raises funds for breast cancer research and community programs. Last year, I had an incredible experience of doing this small project with a few women and we we able to raise some funds and lose weight in the process! We raised $2000.00 and met so many wonderful friends along the way.

Working out for 19 minutes per day was fairly easy, a little bit goes a long way. I will keep walking until breast cancer is no longer a threat. I walk because everyone deserves a lifetime. I walk because I can.
