Love to use TwitLonger and link it to twitter, the friends can get detailed message when they cllick on that link. Also TwitPic is good app to upload interesting pictures and get them rated and tagged too :)

I use Twit Cleaner, a lot. Also XLTweet, NearbyTweets, Twellow, and would be lost w/out TweetDeck.

Connecting Facebook and Youtube to Twitter. I guess i don't know about or use many Twitter apps.

Hootsuite, Twiubs if it weren't prone to locking up but it may because I use it on Chrome. TweetReach

My favorite twitter apps are Tweet Deck and Friend or Follow. However, I hasten to acknowledge I am an app phobic therefore, I haven't tested all apps available.

My favorite is HootSuite. I can send out posts to Twitter, FB and LinkedIn all at once. Plus, it counts the characters for me as I type, so no more guessing if if I have gone over.
