What are the 5 best uses you have found for Twitter?

Hi

I must say my twitter career has been a little hit and miss, to make the most use of it as a great tool it does take a little bit of a change in thinking, probably why a lot of the older population have had varied success and still don't get it. 

My 5 best uses

1) Quick messages about problems with traffic, transport etc

2) Getting a message out about things I feel strongly about

3) Making new contacts, can be just as useful as Linkedin or Facebook

4) Having some fun

5 Learning new things, follow the right people and organisations and they can have some fantastic ideas to learn about.
