Is Twitter a Waste of Time?

I am wondering how everyone else feels about this. It seems like almost everyone I know either loves Twitter or thinks it is a waste of time.

I really cannot understand how to Twitter or to do Social Networking, I would love to learn.

I have been reading the blogs and posts of Larry Brauner. He simplifies all the confusing suggestions that are out there on how to learn abut social networking and many other online phenomena. Just go to: http://online-social-networking.com and click on the site map at the top of the page to see all the topics he covers. Find one that interest you and jump in. It is nowhere near as confusing as it seems once you've mastered the basics.

Laraine, your honesty is refreshing. It's all right if you don't understand how to use Twitter. We all have to start somewhere, right?! I have a reply posted to this discussion. You might want to begin by giving it a read. It really is not too difficult. Just join ecademy.com and they will show you exactly what to do. It seems a bit forbidding at times, but is really quite easy. You just want the learning process under one roof so you know where to go for help.

I barely have time to waste on Twitter since that's what I'm doing on FACEBOOK~~However, I own FACEBOOK groups and enjoy working on them~~That's the short & sweet of it~~

You can actually set up your Facebook page to send all your FB posts directly to your Twitter account. It kills two birds with one stone.

I have found Twitter to be beneficial. Made some new contacts on there and tweeting about 30 minutes a day has helped me in maintaining them. I do not use it to tell everyone every little detail of my life tho. Just keep it professional......
